On 10th October 2023, Egypt led a significant educational action, delivering specific training to agricultural researchers from eight different countries. This initiative was a collaborative effort of the Agricultural Research Center and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and targeted 18 researchers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Syria, Oman, and Lebanon.
The training session emphasized on modern and advanced techniques conducive to the enhancement of grain and vegetable crops. Furthermore, this meeting aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience between Egyptian and Arab researchers. As part of the agenda, the visiting delegation toured the Field Crops Research Institute to learn about the latest research on the cultivation of rice, legumes, animal feed, cotton, medical and aromatic plants, in addition to the production of vegetable seeds and palm seedlings. This action of Egypt underscores its commitment to fostering knowledge-sharing and promoting the growth of agriculture in the Arab region.
